MEMORIAL TO COMMEMORATE THE VICTIMS OF THE NAZI MILITARY COURTS AT MURELLENBERG

104 traffic mirrors, 16 of them with laser inscriptions, were installed along a 700-meter-long forest path leading to the location of the murders. The dramaturgy of the texts along the forest path develops from the objective and impersonal quotations from laws and judgments – to the personal and subjective – descriptions of experiences taken from statements by eyewitnesses. Normally, such traffic mirrors are used to prevent hazards by making visible that which is outside the field of vision. Their function is to mark, describe, warn, protect. Murellenberg, Berlin / Charlottenburg, realized 2002.
